We made a little road trip this weekend to visit some good friends of ours. On Saturday we drove to DC to look at all the beautiful buildings and monuments. It was breath-taking even in the winter. I can only imagine what it looks like in the spring and summer with leaves on the trees, the flowers blossoming and water running in the fountains. Some of the buildings we saw were the White House, the Pentagon, Capital Hill, the Washington Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and many others. Enjoy the slideshow!

It's Been Awhile
My apologies for not posting any pictures lately. Carson managed to get his hands on our camera one morning. Ever since, we've had a problem with the automatic lense cover but we seemed to have fixed it.
Here is a picture from a couple weeks ago. Carson loves climbing in and out of boxes no matter how big or small they are. In this picture he's saying, "Cheese"!

We received some great news yesterday. We will be closing on our new house on Thursday the 19th and the movers are bringing all of our stuff back on Friday the 20th. House hunting was an eventful and drawn out process for us but in the end we were able to get a good deal on the house that we really wanted. We are so excited to get settled in and for Carson to have his own room again.
I began packing up our apartment yesterday, putting things in boxes and empty laundry baskets. This is what I found when I looked over at Carson. Perhaps one day he'll be a contortionist. I know I can't bend like that! =)

This weekend we are going to Washington D.C. to visit some friends. More pictures to come...

Calling New Jersey our HOME
I thought it would be nice to talk a little bit about the place where Ryan, Carson, and I will soon be calling HOME. Ryan started a new job with Toys R Us back in late October. Right now we are staying in temporary corporate housing...a one-bedroom apartment in Wayne, New Jersey. Other than the fact that Carson has to sleep in the Living Room/Dining Room, it's not too bad. =) I must say, it's much easier and faster to clean than a 2 story house. haha
At the end of January we will be moving to Hamburg, NJ which is in Sussex County.

Sussex County...
* Is home to nine wildlife management areas, six state parks, two national parks, two major ski areas and 20 golf courses.
* Sussex County's public educational system is ranked 2nd in the state of New Jersey, which is ranked 3rd overall in the United States.
* Has New Jersey's lowest per capita crime rate.

* Sussex County is located in the northwest corner of New Jersey. The county borders Pennsylvania to the west and New York to the north and east.
* Has a population of twenty million within a fifty-mile radius.
* Is located less than fifty miles from three major international airports and two major seaports.
* Is less than one-hour to New York City.
* Has over 40% of the land mass preserved through federal state and local efforts.
We are in the process of buying this townhome and have a tentative close date of January 30th. We went there today for the inspection. There were a couple small items that need to be fixed before we close, but overall the house was in great condition. We also got to meet the current owner. She was very nice to talk to and we found out they are recently retired and will be moving to Arizona.

We hope you all will come visit us. The views are spectacular and I'm sure there will be lots of fun things to do and see once the weather warms up a bit.

Buffalo Wild Wings....yum!
We got together with some friends at Buffalo Wild Wings while we were back in Fishers over the holidays. It was great seeing the Herringtons, Marshalls, Barnetts, and Pipers one last time before heading back to New Jersey...and it's always nice to sit down for some chicken wings! =) There is not a BW3's close to where we are living in New Jersey so we tried to eat there as much as we could that week. We even ate dinner there with my family that same night. One can never have too much Bdubs!
