This weekend, Ryan and I traveled down to Reston, Virginia to visit with our friends Myriam and Aaron. They live just 45 minutes away from Washington DC and we wanted to see all the cherry blossoms while they were in full bloom.
On Saturday, our friends' community was having an Easter Egg Hunt so we walked over to the local park to participate. Carson had a blast finding all the eggs! He was so quick at putting them in his basket this year. Each child was only supposed to find 10 eggs so I had to keep tossing some out of his basket without Carson knowing.
The sun was shining all weekend and it was so nice to be outside enjoying the nice Spring weather. On Sunday, we drove to DC to see all the cherry blossoms. The views were magnificent. Pictures of that to come soon!

Back Home Again in Indiana
Wow! It's been a whole month since my last post. I better get busy!
On March 24th Carson and I flew to Indiana for a week. It was my first time flying solo with Carson but he did great. We had such a fun time hanging out with my family. Carson was so excited to see his Grandma and Grandpa and to play with his cousins. We also had the opportunity to hang out with some of our old neighbors and MOMS Club friends in Fishers too. I am already looking forward to our next trip back.

2 Year Doctor Visit
Carson went in for his 2 year checkup today...we're only a couple months behind! His new doctor is Dr. Markel in Hamburg, NJ. Today he weighs 31 POUNDS (78th percentile) and is 36 INCHES tall (77th percentile). The nurse told us the rule of thumb is that when Carson is an adult he will be twice as tall as he was when he was 2. That means he'll be around 6 feet tall! That's right on track with his daddy! =)

ABC's
A couple weeks ago, Carson and I were putting an alphabet puzzle together. Little did I know, he knew most of the letters. It's one of those things that they just seem to learn overnight! I was astounded to hear him tell me what most of the letters were. He still has a little trouble with C, T, and D but knows pretty much all of the others. Since he seemed so interested in letters, I bought him some bath foam letters and he loves them! I caught him in action during tonight's bathtime. Enjoy!

Unpacking Is Fun For Some but Not For Others
We are so excited to have a home in New Jersey to call our own. It feels so good to start settling in. Although, I must admit, I had no idea how much stuff we really had until the movers brought it back all in one day. There were boxes pretty much filling each and every room. We are making good progress and hopefully all the boxes will be gone in another week or two. In the meantime, Carson is having a blast playing inside the big boxes and jumping onto the big mounds of packing paper. Here are some videos for your enjoyment!

Washington DC
We made a little road trip this weekend to visit some good friends of ours. On Saturday we drove to DC to look at all the beautiful buildings and monuments. It was breath-taking even in the winter. I can only imagine what it looks like in the spring and summer with leaves on the trees, the flowers blossoming and water running in the fountains. Some of the buildings we saw were the White House, the Pentagon, Capital Hill, the Washington Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and many others. Enjoy the slideshow!

It's Been Awhile
My apologies for not posting any pictures lately. Carson managed to get his hands on our camera one morning. Ever since, we've had a problem with the automatic lense cover but we seemed to have fixed it.
Here is a picture from a couple weeks ago. Carson loves climbing in and out of boxes no matter how big or small they are. In this picture he's saying, "Cheese"!

We received some great news yesterday. We will be closing on our new house on Thursday the 19th and the movers are bringing all of our stuff back on Friday the 20th. House hunting was an eventful and drawn out process for us but in the end we were able to get a good deal on the house that we really wanted. We are so excited to get settled in and for Carson to have his own room again.
I began packing up our apartment yesterday, putting things in boxes and empty laundry baskets. This is what I found when I looked over at Carson. Perhaps one day he'll be a contortionist. I know I can't bend like that! =)

This weekend we are going to Washington D.C. to visit some friends. More pictures to come...
