Memorial Day in St. Louis

We headed to St. Louis on Friday morning to spend Memorial Day weekend with our good friends Jarrett, Allie, Kaila, and Mia. We got to St. Louis in the afternoon and was greeted by Jarrett and Kaila. Shortly after, Allie got home from work and we headed to Imo's to try St. Louis' famous thin crust pizza with provel cheese. Then we headed to the park to let the kiddos run around.

Carson and Kaila made big splashes in the bathtub each night. Here is a funny bath picture:

On Saturday Jarrett and Ryan woke up early to go mountain biking while Allie and I took the kids to the zoo. The St. Louis zoo was very impressive and had so many neat animals including a giant anteater! Carson also took his first carousel ride.

We headed to the Boat House for lunch. Here's a picture of us sitting in the rocking chairs waiting for our table. Carson was passed out!

We were going to head back to the zoo after lunch but it started raining really hard so we headed back to the Marshall pad for naptime. We must have really worn the kiddos out because they slept all afternoon! The sun came back out in the late afternoon and we decided to just take it easy and order in for dinner. We had Zia's Italian - my favorite restaurant during our whole trip - and then took a little car ride to Ted Drewes for some amazing frozen custard.

Sunday morning we went to the Arch to take some pictures but our trip was cut short because it started pouring down rain on us. It was a fun, wet race back to our car. Here are the only 3 pictures we were able to take before it started raining.

For lunch we went to Lion's Choice, which is a restaurant similar to Arby's. After naptime we drove past the Boeing facility to see where Allie works. Then some of Jarrett and Allie's college buddies met up at their apartment and we all went to Garavelli's for a quick dinner and back to Ted Drewes for more frozen custard!!!

We want to thank Jarrett and Allie for being such awesome hosts and letting us crash in their cool downtown loft apartment. Monday morning we are heading back to Indianapolis. We will miss you Kaila and Mia!!!

Where Are The Diapers???

I went to Wally World this evening to buy some groceries and get some more diapers. Little did I know what would pop out of the Pampers box. Perhaps I should return it and ask for my money back? =)
