Space Farms

Last weekend we also visited Space Farms. It's a small local zoo and museum. Carson had so much fun feeding the deer and sheep. We also got to see lions, tigers, wolves, bears, elk, monkeys, snakes and many other animals.

Point Pleasant Beach

On Sunday, we hopped in the van and drove 2 hours to Point Pleasant Beach. Is there any better way to spend a 90 degree afternoon? Although the water was freezing cold, we had a great time playing in the sand and enjoying the fresh air. I think Carson could have stayed there all day just running his hands through the sand and burying his boat. Here are some pictures and even a couple of videos. Enjoy!

Soccer Mom

No, Carson does not play soccer yet, but I guess you can officially call me a Soccer Mom! The lease was up on our Murano so Ryan and I took the plunge and bought a minivan. I believe Ryan's exact words were, "we are no longer cool". But in all seriousness, we love our new "CHAN VAN" and are looking forward to some fun roadtrips in the near future!

These pictures were taken at High Point State Park in Sussex, New Jersey. It's the highest point in NJ and the views are just breath-taking. It is 1,803 feet above sea level, with a spectacular panorama of rich farmland and forest, soft hills and lush valleys of Pennsyvania, New Jersey, and New York.

(Don't you love how my New Jersey license plate starts with YUC! haha

Cool Treat for a Hot Day

It was very hot this past Saturday so we stopped at a local ice cream parlor for a cold treat. It was a little messy but Carson REALLY enjoyed his chocolate cone!

Easter Sunday

These pictures are long overdue but I wanted to put them on the blog before I forgot. This was our first Easter away from both of our families, but it was still a great one! Our good friends, Karl and Jennifer invited us over to their family Easter dinner. Carson always has a blast playing with his little friends, Isaac and Ben. They had a lot of fun hunting for eggs. Enjoy the pictures!

Carson's First Orthodonist Appointment

JUST KIDDING! It's just his play BBQ tongs that he insisted wearing on his face all morning.

(Hope you get a laugh out of these pictures like I did!)

Cherry Blossoms in DC

Here are the pictures from our trip to Washington DC to see all the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Sorry there are so many pictures. The views were just so breath-taking.

Weekend Trip to Virginia

This weekend, Ryan and I traveled down to Reston, Virginia to visit with our friends Myriam and Aaron. They live just 45 minutes away from Washington DC and we wanted to see all the cherry blossoms while they were in full bloom.

On Saturday, our friends' community was having an Easter Egg Hunt so we walked over to the local park to participate. Carson had a blast finding all the eggs! He was so quick at putting them in his basket this year. Each child was only supposed to find 10 eggs so I had to keep tossing some out of his basket without Carson knowing.

The sun was shining all weekend and it was so nice to be outside enjoying the nice Spring weather. On Sunday, we drove to DC to see all the cherry blossoms. The views were magnificent. Pictures of that to come soon!

Back Home Again in Indiana

Wow! It's been a whole month since my last post. I better get busy!

On March 24th Carson and I flew to Indiana for a week. It was my first time flying solo with Carson but he did great. We had such a fun time hanging out with my family. Carson was so excited to see his Grandma and Grandpa and to play with his cousins. We also had the opportunity to hang out with some of our old neighbors and MOMS Club friends in Fishers too. I am already looking forward to our next trip back.
